Redwoods-Avenue of the Giants

Hello from the Redwoods, what can we say, these trees are huge. We packed the little car, most likely overloaded it, but we couldn't leave anything behind. The drive north was slow and long, I think 4.5 hours. Once there it was like walking into a fantasy land, everything is soooo big. Lets see, what did we do? We climbed on fallen giants, it was 370ft tall at the time it fell. We road bikes on the trails, swam and boated on the river, practiced our shooting skills( safety first), hikes on trails that went on forever. ate lots of marshmallow, played with the fire and had lots of fun, except for the giant mosquitoes that attacked us. I had wanted to take the kids there for years and we finally made it. As we looked across the river into the forrest someone said "thats were Big Foot lives. enjoy the few photos. See if you can find bella next to a tree.

We also have spent the summer going to the beach and practicing our skate boarding.

Dave, Sweet post! We are coming to the REDWOODS!!! Those photos are amazing. However, I think Zane in the fire pit and the gun-wielding ladies take the cake!

We're inspired!

Whoa! Can you say, "crack shot like Annie Oakley?"....dang Dave, you're going to have a couple marksmen, or should I say, "markswomen" on your hands! And that shot of the car all packed up needs to go to Yakima/Thule rack companies...great marketing photo for them! Nice post....keep em' coming! Matt
